"Villages Get Together": Connecting Rural, Urban, and Regional Areas Through Culture
Project Description
Building on the outcomes of the “Co-Building Kuk Po: Creating, Sharing, Learning & Enjoying” project, completed in March 2025, the project organisation will first establish the “Kai Choi Modern School” to engage and empower villagers on village revitalisation. Additionally, a “Twin Villages” programme will be created to strengthen inter-village connections and systematically preserve Kuk Po cultural heritage. Through urban exhibitions, pop-up stores, and local and online international countrtside exchange conferences, Kuk Po’s culture will be promoted in cities and overseas. The project will culminate in a large-scale countryside festival, attracting visitors from various regions to promote Hakka and village culture while fostering sustainable eco-tourism development.
