Kai Choi Lab: Exploring Sustainability
Education and resources form the cornerstones of village revitalisation, serving as the launchpad for villagers’ aspirations and a vital bridge for public understanding of rural culture. The project team launched the "Kai Choi Lab" courses to help villagers master skills of seeking resource and provide the necessary support to turn ideas into reality. The team also organised field trips to eco-architecture sites in Nam Chung to explore the potential of sustainable building. These diverse activities not only nurture the skills and confidence of the villagers but also strengthen community cohesion. By embracing the principle of "teaching people how to fish", the project empowers villagers to grow independently and cultivates the long-term vitality required to drive a sustainable revival.
