Kai Choi Annex Block: Roof Restoration

The roof of the Annex Block of Kai Choi School was constructed with double-tile Chinese roofs, which help lower the room temperature and drain away rainwater. Similar design can also be seen in the old Aberdeen Police Station and Tai Po Police Station.

The Annex Block of Kai Choi School restored the original double-tile Chinese roof. The team also added glazed tiles and skylights to the roof to enhance natural lighting in the interior space.
