Project Plum Grove II: Environmental-Friendly Design for Restoring Old House
Low carbon construction is the guiding principle in the restoration of Mui Tsz Lam Old House, e.g. the use of locally available soil for the construction of rammed earth wall, the recycling of leftover bricks from the collapsed village houses for the reconstruction of fence wall, and the installation of photovoltaic panel on roof for the harvest of renewable energy, in an attempt to make contributions to the promotion of green architecture and nature conservation.
