Villagers' Management Agreement Project with Hygiene Theme
Project Description
The project aims to establish a villager-based countryside village environment management mechanism and team to improve the overall hygiene environment of Lai Chi Wo village. It also aims to equip villagers with knowledge and skills related to countryside village environment management.
To achieve this, the project organisation provides training to villagers, enabling them to manage and promote environmental hygiene within the village, for instance, the taking charging of procuring facilities like mobile toilets and three-coloured waste separation bins, and arranging subsequent recurrent management activities. Additionally, the project organisation hires local villagers as Hygiene Ambassadors and Etiquette Ambassadors, who are responsible for maintaining the village environment and educating visitors on good etiquette when visiting the countryside areas.
Through this plan, the project organisation hopes that eventually, villagers will be capable of undertaking public service contracts in remote countryside, thereby achieving cost-effectiveness and establishing a sustainable model for management of the environment in countryside areas.
