Tap Mun Ecology
To understand the ecological diversity of Tap Mun and highlight its importance and value, the project team conducted ecological baseline surveys on the island for nearly a year and wrote a Tap Mun Ecological Report based on the survey results.
In summary, Tap Mun has various habitats suitable for different wildlife, including secondary forests, shrublands, grasslands, mangroves, rocky shores, mudflats, and freshwater rivers. Its biodiversity is impressive.
Based on the survey results, the biodiversity of Tap Mun is summarized as follows:

Among these plants, 2 species are protected under Chapter 586 "Protection of Endangered Species of Animals and Plants Ordinance" and Appendix II of the "Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)", and 1 species is protected under Chapter 96 "Forest and Countryside Ordinance".
