Stakeholder participation
In the countryside, good structure must not only have practical uses, but also match the surrounding environment and has duly taken into account the view of the villagers. Therefore, the project organisation consulted the opinion of villagers, fishpond operators and young people during the design process. In addition to personally listening to the opinion of fish farmers on the design, the project organisation also contacted relevant villagers and schools with the help of the local district councilors to hold exhibitions and workshops in Fan Tin Village at San Tin, so that villagers and young people in the district could actively participate. This is an opportunity to express their opinion on how to help fishermen and nature through local architecture, and to hear their future imagination of what fishponds could become.
