Lai Chi WOW!: Setting Up a Temporary Theatre in Remote Rural Areas
Building a theatre in rural areas is not easy. The project team used Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) to transport prefabricated components to Lai Chi Wo by water and assembled a temporary children’s theatre that can accommodate 40 people on-site.
In addition to MiC, considering the power supply situation in rural areas, the theatre is equipped with a series of low-energy Arts Tech devices, including portable projectors, LED lighting, and rechargeable lighting equipment. This achieves low power consumption and adheres to energy-saving principles, bringing a unique children’s theatre to Lai Chi Wo.
