Forest Village: Booklet on Footpath Restoration

The footpath connecting Lai Chi Wo, Chu Mun Tin, Kuk Po and Tung Wo Market could date back to long time ago in history and was also an important access route for the villagers in Mui Tsz Lam. However, since 1960s the villagers gradually moved out from the countryside village in order to make a living. As a result, the ancient footpaths are abandoned, dilapidated, and even forgotten.

The project team restored the footpaths in campsite areas through handcraft and prepared this booklet to document the history of the ancient footpath, and enlighten its readers on the required materials and techniques for the restoration works.
