Before and After the Renovation of the Village Garden

Before the renovation, the village gardens were abandoned Hakka village houses. Due to the long lack of regular maintenance, it was overgrown with weeds and in a half-collapsed state.

After the renovation, Lai Chi Wo village added three community gardens where people can sit, relax, and gather with friends and family, experiencing the charm of the countryside and creating a sense of "home". The renovation project aimed to use local materials as much as possible and preserve the traces of life from the old village houses, allowing visitors to deepen their understanding of Lai Chi Wo village through the gardens.
