Application of Smart Technologies in Wetland Management

The project implements smart technologies for wetland management at the Mai Po Nature Reserve. A solar-powered camera network has been established, integrated with an artificial intelligence (Al) online data management platform. This system collects real-time wildlife images and activity data through a mobile ad-hoc network (MANET), and utilises Al-driven species identification software for automatic analysis.

By using loT technology and smart network systems, wetland managers can make more informed decisions, optimise resource allocation, and establish a comprehensive knowledge base to guide future smart wetland management initiatives.
