Habitat management measures

Sha Lo Tung is home to rich and diverse habitats such as Feng shui forests, freshwater marshes and ecologically important streams. Decades ago, cultivation stopped and the agricultural land at Sha Lo Tung become abandoned farmland. The project organisation has implemented active habitat management measures in Sha Lo Tung, including the maintenance and improvement of eco-ponds and artificial marshes, with a view to enhance the habitat quality and biodiversity of the site.
