Plum Judy butterfly found on Yim Tin Tsai island
The Plum Judy butterfly has a dark brown back and reddish-brown wings that closely resemble the color of dead leaves on tree branches. The Plum Judy found by the survey team in the picture is a wet season variant, as indicated by the several spots along the edge of its lower wings. In contrast, the dry season form of the Plum Judy exhibits smaller, more blurred, or even completely absent spot markings on the lower wings.
