Oral History for Historical Research of Kuk Po
The project team collaborated with villagers to conduct in-depth historical and cultural research through oral history. The team interviewed dozens of Kuk Po villagers and related individuals, collecting over a hundred old photos and stories to document the traces of life in Kuk Po, including clothing, food, housing, transportation, customs, work, and leisure activities. The research findings were then compiled into various publications bringing the stories of Kuk Po to audiences in Hong Kong and overseas.

Exhibition 'Stillness: The Capture from 1940s'

Exhibition 'Stillness: The Capture from 1940s'
The project team organised the exhibition "Stillness: The Capture from 1940s", aims to tell the story of Kuk Po to Hong Kong people, and encourage the public to touch "Kuk Po" in the urban area through the cultural relics and photos of Kuk Po in the past and present. Hundreds of old photos were collected from villagers all over the world, and restored them with the help of computer and AI technology. Together with more than 40 cultural relics and objects in the village, the story of wandering and returning for a century is reproduced in the exhibition. Kuk Po villagers were also invited to prepare a variety of food and beverage to let everyone get to know Kuk Po from the "taste".
