National Ecology Day Thematic Exhibition 2026

The Countryside Conservation Office (CCO) will host the six-day "National Ecology Day Thematic Exhibition 2026" from 1 to 6 September 2026 at The Corner, East Kowloon Cultural Centre, in response to the 4th National Ecology Day. Through a diverse range of interactive experiences, the exhibition aims to raise public awareness of Hong Kong's rural culture and natural ecology, encourage the public to visit the countryside, and enhance community consciousness regarding ecological progress civilisation and environmental protection—embodying the national ethos that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets". Admission to the exhibition is free of charge.

In addition, the Thematic Exhibition seamlessly integrates photographic art with live musical performances to create an immersive sensory feast. Highlights of the performance line-up include:

  • National Ecology Day 2026: "Hong Kong Soundscape - Opera & Dance" One Day Music Festival Extended Episode: Complete special screening—World Premiere of Tan Dun's "Cellphone Soundscape & Movement" at Ap Chau, followed by live countryside musical performances by world-renowned musicians Gordon Lee and Nina Wong.
  • Exhibition & Sharing Session by Renowned Fine-Art Landscape Photographer Kelvin Yuen: Displaying his precious works captured at Double Haven, alongside a personal sharing session on the stories and insights behind his lens.
