The Countryside Conservation Office (CCO) has upgraded the ‘Countryside Trails’ (Lai Chi Wo and Mui Tsz Lam Section, and Kuk Po Section) by introducing a brand-new smart web application. Featuring an Augmented Reality (AR) check-in function alongside a dedicated website (https://ccotrail.gov.hk/en), this new digital experience aims to further enrich the public’s countryside exploration.
Visitors can simply scan the QR codes on the trail signage with their mobile phones to start the new exploration journey without pre-installing any application. Along the trail, you can unlock exclusive AR check-in spots, capture fun commemorative photos, experience interactive games, and uncover hidden village stories.
In addition, the dedicated ‘Countryside Trails’ website serves as a one-stop shop for visitors to access detailed illustrated guides for each route. Through online virtual reality tours, visitors can also immerse themselves in village stories from the comfort of home. Come experience the ‘Countryside Trails’ in person, or visit the dedicated website to plan your countryside trip!
