Plant Diversity in a Theme Garden: How Native Species are Used in KFBG

Event Introduction
Do you know how many plant species can be found in the wild in Hong Kong?
Have you ever wondered how these native plants are pollinated?
Do you know which species can be used to make natural dyes and preserves or to celebrate particular festivals?
Plants are all around us, but how much do you know about the many ways in which they support our lives?
KFBG Plant Encounters programme introduces the diversity and ecology of Hong Kong native plants. You will learn from botanists of KFBG’s Flora Conservation Department about the generous green world that surrounds us, thus deepening your appreciation of the fragile beauty of the many rare species that naturally occur here.
