Lifelike:Zeng Xiaolian Natural History Painting Exhibition x Urban Bird Sketching Guided Workshop

Event Introduction

Hong Kong Bird Watching Society x Ptolemy Museum Joint Presentation

🕊️ When nature meets art, between the flutter of wings, capturing the trajectory of life.

The beauty of natural ecology can be felt and cherished with care. Have you ever tried to capture those touching moments in an artistic way? This time, we have prepared an exploration journey that combines painting appreciation, bird watching, and sketching!

We will first take everyone to visit the Ptolemy Museum's "Nature's Intentions: Selected Works of Zeng Xiaolian Exhibition". Apart from admiring Mr. Zeng Xiaolian's exquisite botanical and Chinese native bird paintings, we will also head to a nearby city park to observe common urban birds (such as sparrows, bulbuls, etc.). You and your children can learn sketching techniques and record observations of wildlife through drawing, creating your own ecological artworks!

⭐ Event Highlights

- Museum Guided Tour: Appreciate the exquisite botanical sketches and Chinese native bird paintings exhibited in the Zeng Xiaolian Museum.

- Bird Watching Guided Tour: Led by bird watching instructors, learn to observe birds and recognize common native species in Hong Kong at Central Kwai Chung Park.

- Sketching Workshop: Drawing instructor will teach life drawing sketching techniques. Participants can capture the beautiful figures of wildlife.
