Countryside Harvest Festival 2026: "Hong Kong Soundscape - Opera & Dance" One Day Music Festival – will be broadcast live globally across various online platforms (further details please click here). One segment of the festival warmly invites the public to join us in person to experience this remarkable cultural celebration and to appreciate the stunning view and compelling musical performances from Hong Kong's northeastern region.

Due to the limited space at the event venue, if you are unable to attend the event at Lai Chi Wo in person, we cordially invite all audiences to join us for this event online, offering you an opportunity to experience the extraordinary charm and significant impact of this international arts event from the comfort of your own home.

Walk about 15 minutes from MTR University Station Exit B to the Ma Liu Shui New Ferry Pier.

How to get there:

From Sheung Shui or Fanling MTR stations, take bus 78K or 78S; you can also take minibus 55K from Sheung Shui MTR Station to Sha Tau Kok.

8:30 AM, 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM (from Sha Tau Kok)

Return time:

4:15 PM (from Lai Chi Wo)

Special transport arrangement on the day of the event

Free ferry services will be provided on the event day (1 March 2026), shuttling between Sha Tau Kok and Lai Chi Wo. The free ferry tickets reservation is fully booked.

Time slot 1:

Depart 11:30 AM (from Sha Tau Kok) and return 2:45 PM (from Lai Chi Wo)

Time slot 2:

Depart 12:00 PM (from Sha Tau Kok) and return 3:00 PM (from Lai Chi Wo)

Applying for a Closed Area Permit

Participants must apply for a valid "Tourism Closed Area Permit (T-CAP) The Sha Tau Kok FCA" on their own and must hold the permit on the day in order to board at Sha Tau Kok. Hong Kong residents and visitors can apply online through the Police e-Services system. Applications must be submitted at least 2 full working days before the intended visit date.
